Drees Pavilion sits on the highest overlook in Devou Park above Covington, Kentucky, with direct views of the Cincinnati skyline. It is one of the most recognized wedding venues in Northern Kentucky, and for good reason.
Gabriella and Caleb were married in May. Their day started with first looks at a private residence, then moved to a Catholic church for the ceremony. Caleb, a Marine, wore his dress uniform, which gave the first look moments a weight you cannot manufacture. Afterward, the reception happened at Drees, and the speeches were some of the most genuine I've heard.
A few things I love about filming here. First, the outdoor gazebo gives you ceremony options when the weather cooperates. Second, the interior handles natural light well enough that you don't have to fight with supplemental lighting. And finally, the terrace at golden hour, with the skyline behind you, is genuinely one of the best portrait backdrops in the region.
