Hotel Covington is a luxury boutique hotel wedding venue in Covington, Kentucky, housed in a former 1910 department store just across the river from downtown Cincinnati. Paired with the adjacent Madison Event Center, the two venues together offer a wide range of wedding day spaces under shared management.
Valerie and Kagen were married in August. They got ready at Hotel Covington, and from there we moved into the hotel courtyard for their first look and private vows. The brick walls and string lights make for a backdrop that looks unreal on film. The ceremony happened in that same courtyard, and once it wrapped, everyone moved next door to the Madison Event Center for the reception. The speeches that night were a highlight.
What I love about filming here is the sheer variety of spaces within a short walk. The courtyard, the Lightwell, the lawn, the Scheper Room, the hotel lobby, and the Madison's multiple ballrooms all have different personalities, which gives your wedding film real visual range. On top of that, guests staying overnight at the hotel means you get natural getting-ready coverage without rushing across town.
