Emily and Ryan were married in November. Their entire day happened at Carnegie Hall, which I love from a video standpoint. No travel, no transitions, no wasted time between locations. Emily started with a first look with her dad inside the venue, which set an emotional tone for the rest of the morning. From there, she met Ryan outside for a second first look where they read private vows to each other. From there, the ceremony happened outdoors, followed by cocktail hour and reception inside. Great speeches, and then a solid dance party to close things out.
Carnegie Hall at Newport films well because the historic architecture does a lot of the heavy lifting. Every frame has visual weight without needing to dress the space much. The indoor-outdoor flow also means natural light for the ceremony and controlled light for the reception.
