The Monastery Event Center is one of the more atmospheric wedding venues in Cincinnati. A historic renovated monastery with exposed brick, dramatic windows, and a blend of old-world architecture with modern design. The kind of venue that photographs and films beautifully in almost any light.
Kennedy and Chris were married in January. A winter wedding at the Monastery has a specific feel to it. They got ready at the venue and did a first look there before heading into private vows. From there, they left for the ceremony, a traditional Catholic service at a separate Catholic church. Afterward, the entire party came back to the Monastery Event Center for the reception. Speeches, dinner, and dancing followed.
What I love about filming at the Monastery Event Center is the way the architecture does half the work for you. The high ceilings, the brick walls, the large windows. Even simple wide shots have built-in cinematic weight. On top of that, the venue flows well from getting-ready spaces to reception, which keeps the documentary edit continuous.
I have filmed at the Monastery Event Center multiple times. If you are booking it, reach out.
I've filmed at 60+ venues across Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton, and beyond. If you don't see your venue, reach out. I may have worked there too.
